Impact Report (2021)

I have created a range of publications which help ensure donors and supporters feel connected to our work and understand its impact.
In my previous role as Alumni Engagement Manager, I was responsible for writing all copy for our annual impact report, which goes out to our donors and supporters.
While reviewing previous impact reports, I identified a need to create more relevant and engaging content for our audience of alumni volunteers. The existing format did not incorporate stories or case studies to highlight and recognise the impact of this group - who make up a large proportion of our alumni supporters.
To address this, I worked closely with our volunteers to create a section that celebrated the wide-reaching impact of volunteering across our university. I also invited recent volunteers to share testimonials about the benefits of volunteering for fellow alumni.

This not only served to inform our alumni donors about our volunteering opportunities at St George’s, but also ensured that we were sharing a publication that was appealing and relevant to all groups of alumni supporters. Developing these pages also provided a valuable opportunity to build relationships with our volunteers.

Several volunteers contacted during our subsequent telephone fundraising campaign chose to donate to us for the first time, as a result of engaging with our impact report and reading about the impact of previous fundraising campaigns.
